Perhaps one of the most important functions of any good jewellery shop is its repair service. The Goldworks prides itself in being one of the best repair shops in the area. With 20 years of repair expertise we can handle any repair situation. From sizing, re-tipping, re-shanking, to a complete re-fabrication of a worn, but sentimental wedding set. We offer it all in repair service!
We employ the use of the latest technology in our repair service. We have a Rofin laser welder that enables us to do many jobs that could not be done through conventional torch methods.
We offer full services in all forms of repairs, that include:
- Sizing
- Refinishing
- Retipping (including heat sensitive stones)
- Reshanking
- Resetting loose stones
- Chain repairs (including hollow chains)
We offer a large scale retail repair service and have a lot of items shipped to us for repair from across the country from private individuals. We perform the services and return the articles reconditioned like new via courier services usually within two or three days. With the Rofin laser welder we are able to repair almost all forms of eyeglass frames including most titanium alloys. The titanium frames require the use of argon shield gas, which we have adapted to the machine. The repairs are done on a small area where the glasses are broken and usually results in no discoloration or loss of powdercoat. Often times we can do the repairs without even having to remove the lenses and nose pieces.

For retail customers, please contact us for information on shipping directly to us, we can have your glasses repaired and returned to you usually within 48 hours. Repair costs are approximately $40.00 CAD plus return shipping charges. Please note that eyeglass repairs can not be done while you wait or on weekends.
